Why CBI

Four reasons people actually do this

We skip the marketing copy. Here are the real motivations across our client base.

Visa-free travel

A Caribbean passport unlocks 140+ countries visa-free, including the UK, EU Schengen, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Plan B

An exit option that doesn't require a flight booking. Useful when politics, currency, or geography turn against you.

Tax restructuring

Paired with the right tax residency move, a second citizenship can legally lower personal tax exposure on global income.

Family security

Most programs include spouse, children under 30, and dependent parents in the same application, at the same fee tier.

The Flow

How citizenship setup actually works

Four phases. Most of the work happens in the due diligence stage.

01
Step

Eligibility check

30-minute call to map your goals, source of funds, and family composition. We come back within 48h with a shortlist of programs that fit.

02
Step

Due diligence prep

The hardest part. We help you build a clean source-of-funds file, run background checks, and resolve any flags before submission.

03
Step

Filing

Our licensed local agent files with the citizenship unit. We track every status update and respond to government queries within 24h.

04
Step

Oath & passport

Approval letter, oath of allegiance (most countries allow remote oath), then passport delivered to you. Average 60 days to 8 months depending on program.

Pricing

Transparent, all-inclusive

Government investment, due diligence fee, agent fee, and passport delivery. One quote, no surprises.

Refund policy

Approval-conditional

The government investment is paid into escrow and only released to the treasury on approval. If your application is rejected after submission, the principal is refunded. Due diligence and agent fees are non-refundable, since the work is done.

Citizenship FAQ

The honest answers

CBI is regulated, time-bound, and not for everyone. We tell you that upfront.

Is citizenship by investment legal?

Yes, where the program exists. CBI is established by an act of parliament in each program country (Saint Kitts since 1984, Dominica since 1993, Vanuatu, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, Türkiye, Malta). The OECD, FATF, and EU monitor these programs but do not prohibit them.

Will I lose my current citizenship?

Most countries allow dual citizenship (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, most of EU, most of Latin America). A few do not (China, India, Singapore, Japan). We check this in the eligibility call before you spend a cent.

Do I need to live in the country?

No, that's the point. CBI grants citizenship without residency. You don't need to move, and most programs don't have a stay requirement after approval. Vanuatu, Caribbean, and Türkiye programs all work this way. Malta is the exception, with a residency period required.

Will I pass due diligence?

That depends on your background. Clean source of funds, no criminal record, no sanctions exposure, no PEP status complications: usually a yes. We pre-screen everyone before submission. If we don't see a clear path, we tell you before you pay anything beyond the eligibility call.

Can I include my family?

Yes, every program except Malta includes spouse, children (typically under 30 if financially dependent), and dependent parents in the same application. Some programs also include unmarried siblings. The fee scales with family size, disclosed in the quote.

What's the cheapest legitimate option?

Vanuatu at $130K for a single applicant, $180K for a family of four. Fastest at 60 days. The trade-off: smaller passport (95+ visa-free vs 140+ for the Caribbean) and tighter due diligence in recent years.

What's the fastest option?

Vanuatu, consistently 30 to 60 days. Caribbean programs run 4 to 6 months. Türkiye 6 to 9 months. Malta 12 to 36 months. We don't promise faster than the program's published timeline because we can't, and anyone who does is being dishonest.

What does the EU passport route look like?

Malta is the only direct CBI program inside the EU, and it requires 12 to 36 months of residency before naturalisation, plus EUR 690K+ in contribution and real estate. Cheaper EU routes exist via residency-then-citizenship in Portugal, Greece, Spain, Latvia, but those take 5 to 10 years. We can map both for you.

Will this help me pay less tax?

Maybe. A second passport doesn't change your tax residency by itself. But paired with a tax-residency move (UAE, Paraguay, Caribbean) it removes friction. We coordinate with tax counsel on the structuring side, we don't replace them.

What if my application is rejected?

The government investment principal sits in escrow and is refunded if rejected at the citizenship-unit stage. Due diligence fees and agent fees are not refundable, because the work was done. We rerun the file with an alternate program once at no extra agent fee if there's a viable alternate path.
