Why a residency card

Four reasons people actually get one

We skip the marketing copy. Here are the real motivations across our client base.

Right to live

A residency card gives you the legal right to live, work, and study in the country, without giving up your current citizenship.

Banking access

Local residency unlocks tier-1 banking, brokerage accounts, and credit facilities that non-residents simply cannot open.

Tax residency

Properly structured, residency in a low or zero-tax jurisdiction (UAE, Paraguay, Cyprus) can reset your personal tax exposure on global income.

Family inclusion

Most programs include spouse, children, and dependent parents on the same application, at a single fee tier.

Programs

Two routes, honest tradeoffs

Investment routes give you a fast track and a path to permanent residency. Nomad visas are cheaper but renewable rather than permanent. Pick the tradeoff that matches your goal.

All amounts shown are final, all-inclusive prices for a single applicant, covering government fees, due diligence, and professional fees with no hidden costs.

The Flow

How you get a residency card, step by step

Four phases. Most of the work happens in the document preparation stage.

03
Step

Filing

Refund policy

Approval-conditional

Where the route involves a qualifying investment (real estate, fund subscription, deposit), the principal sits in escrow or in your name and is recoverable if the application is rejected at the immigration stage. Government filing fees and agent fees are non-refundable, since the work is done.

Residency FAQ

The honest answers

Residency is regulated, time-bound, and not for everyone. We tell you that upfront.

What's the difference between residency and citizenship?

Residency is the right to live in a country. Citizenship is membership of that country and comes with a passport. Residency is faster and cheaper, but it does not by itself give you a passport. Many residency programs do offer a path to citizenship after 5 to 10 years of qualifying stay, but you need to actually live there to walk that path.

Which is right for me, investor residency or a digital nomad visa?

If you have $200K+ to deploy and want a path to permanent residency or citizenship, an investor route is right. If you have remote income and want a 1 to 4 year renewable permit at a fraction of the cost, a digital nomad visa is right. We map this in the eligibility call.

Do I need to live in the country?

Depends on the route. UAE Golden Visa requires a single visit every 6 months to keep status. Portugal D7 requires 7 months of physical presence per year. Spain non-lucrative requires 183 days. Digital nomad visas usually require minimum stay similar to D7. We disclose stay requirements in the eligibility call before you spend a cent.

Will I pass the income or investment threshold check?

That depends on your numbers. Most investor routes need clean source of funds for the qualifying investment. Nomad visas need provable monthly income from a non-local source (typically $2,500 to $4,000 per month). We pre-screen everyone before submission. If we don't see a clear path, we tell you before you pay anything beyond the eligibility call.

Can I include my family?

Yes. Most programs include spouse and children under 18, with dependent parents and adult children sometimes available at additional cost. The fee scales with family size, disclosed in the quote.

What's the cheapest legitimate option?

Digital nomad visas typically run $4K to $10K all-in for a single applicant, plus the qualifying minimum income. Paraguay's permanent residency historically came in even lower but the program now requires real ties. The trade-off: nomad visas are renewable rather than permanent, and most do not lead directly to citizenship.

What's the fastest option?

UAE Golden Visa, around 30 days from filing to issuance once your file is clean. El Salvador residency is similarly fast for crypto-aligned investors. EU programs run 3 to 6 months. We don't promise faster than the published timeline because we can't, and anyone who does is being dishonest.

Will residency reduce my tax bill?

Maybe. Becoming a resident does not by itself end your tax residency in your home country. You usually need to spend more days in the new country than the old one and cut residual ties. Paired with the right tax counsel, residency in UAE, Paraguay, Cyprus, or the Caribbean can legally reduce personal tax exposure. We coordinate with tax counsel on the structuring side, we do not replace them.

Does residency lead to citizenship?

Many programs do, after 5 to 10 years of qualifying physical residency. Portugal: 5 years. Spain: 10 years (2 for citizens of Latin America, Philippines, Andorra). UAE Golden Visa: no statutory naturalisation route today. We flag this in the eligibility call so you know what's actually on offer.

What if my application is rejected?

Where there's a qualifying investment, principal that's still in escrow or in instruments held in your name is recoverable. Government filing fees and agent fees are not refundable, because the work was done. We rerun the file with an alternate program once at no extra agent fee if there's a viable alternate path.
