100% foreign ownership allowed for all major corporate forms (SpA, Ltda, S.A.) in virtually all sectors. No local partner or director required as shareholder, but a local legal representative with Chilean domicile is mandatory. Restrictions apply only to a few sensitive sectors (border-area real estate, certain media licenses). No minimum capital required.

Banking
Available at major Chilean banks: Banco de Chile, Santander, BCI, ItaΓΊ. Requires company RUT, legal representative with Chilean domicile, KYC documentation, and business plan. Approval typically takes 2β4 weeks after company is registered. Bank decisions are at their discretion; proper documentation and positioning significantly improve approval chances.
Personal bank accounts require Chilean residence permit (RUT for residents), proof of address, and source of funds. Non-residents generally cannot open personal accounts directly. Available through major banks once residence status is obtained.
